My allergies are terrible and I've been on Zyrtec for a few years now. You probably know that Zyrtec is now available over the counter. I've been buying the generic version at Tom Thumb for $18 for 60 pills. But that's all about to change! Costco has a generic version of Zyrtec for $15.99 for 300 pills. 300!!! That is an incredible deal!

If you want the brand name Zyrtec they also have that for $32.59 for 75 pills. Still a good deal considering I was paying $60 for 90 pills before it went OTC.

It’s The Breakfast Club, Baby!

My favorite outing during my rookie year would have to be my weekly Breakfast Club. When my son was about five months old my friend Mandy invited a few stay at home moms she knew over for breakfast one morning. The kids played (or in some cases, had tummy time) and the moms talked and laughed. It was supposed to be a one time thing but we had such a great time that we wanted to make it a regular occasion. The next week Carrie hosted and from then on out we all started taking a week to serve breakfast and drinks for the mommies and children.

We’ve been doing it for a year now and we are loving it! Our group has become larger as we’ve all invited new friends to join us. Thanks to this inexpensive weekly outing I’ve met some women that I never would’ve met otherwise. My son has friends of all ages and gets to have playtime every week with 10-15 other children. It’s so good for him to get to play with other children (and their toys!) and of course, a great time for support and laughs for the mommies.

Bath and Body Works' antibacterial collection of soaps and sanitizers is on sale this weekend for 5 for $10! (They are usually $5 each!) If you haven't tried them before they work great and smell wonderful! I love the foam because it washes away so easily. Hurry to your nearest store because this sale won't last long!

Renting Baby Products on Vacation

One of the first things you learn as a new parent is how much effort it takes just to leave the house. Diapers, burp cloths, wipes, an extra outfit, bottles...the list goes on and on. Just as we finally had it all down last year we went on vacation. Talk about overwhelming.

Luckily someone has already paved this path for us and there are multiple baby gear rental companies all over the world. Last year I had a 4 month old so we rented a bathtub, exersaucer, crib, bouncy seat and beach tent. (Did we need ALL of those? Of course not. But did we think we did at the time? Sure!) The prices really weren't that bad and it's a convenience I'm happy to pay for. I'm currently looking into making our rental reservation again this year. We'll be using Beach and Baby in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, Alabama.

Tom Thumb has a deal on Bic Soleil razors this week (through Wednesday). The razors and 4 ct. cartridges are buy one get one free. Use this with the coupon from this week's Smart Source (buy razor, get cartridges free) to get them both free! My local Kroger was sold out of the cartridges but I'm off later today to see if they've been restocked!
