Sea to Summit Dry Sacks

What do you put your belongings in when you are at the beach, pool or on the boat to keep them from getting wet? I always use Ziploc bags but with all the opening and closing they tend to get torn on the sides. My brother in law had the coolest waterproof bag ever! It's called the Sea to Summit Dry Sack and I LOVED it! (It's cute too!)
You roll the top of the bag over itself and then close the clasp (trust me when I say the description can explain it better than I can) to keep everything dry and safe. There are a ton of different kinds but these bags at Cabela's are from $8-$20 each.

I'm back and great comments!

We are back from our family vacation at the beach. We had a wonderful time but are all thrilled to be back in our own beds!

We've had some great comments and e-mails from readers that I wanted to make sure everyone knows about. Jo said that Trader Joe's milk is hormone free too. So you can pick up a gallon while you're out buying your Two Buck Chuck!

Tara can say it better than me so here's her comment on my RoboForm post: "There is a new breed of password managers - online password managers.I work for Passpack which is...an online password manager which lets you access your passwords from anywhere in the world with just 1 Click (Login). It organizes, stores and secures your passwords from keyloggers, phishers...The internet is as safe as we make it so let's make it safe! http://passpack.com/"

Good to know! Thanks for sharing!

Price Protectr

Price Protectr (YES, it's spelled like that...drives me crazy too) is a great site if you make a lot of online purchases. Lots of sites offer price matches if their price drops after you buy the item. The problem is that you have to check the site everyday to see if the price has dropped or not. And Amazon is famous for changing prices multiple times in one day so you'd never be able to keep up with that!

Enter Price Protectr. It watches the prices for you at 116 different stores and e-mails you if the price of your item drops before your time is up. It is so easy to use. I used this last fall when we bought our new TV off Amazon. We had to get several price adjustments but by the end of it all we had saved an additional $120. Woo-hoo!

Container Store Products

Oh, how I love the Container Store. If I won the lottery, that just might be the first place I would go. Well, there and Pottery Barn.

Anyway, if you like paper calendars they have the best one ever ($15.95). And I'm not the only one who thinks so because if you go searching for it around the end of July/beginning of August, they WILL be sold out. It's a school year August-August calendar and it's great. It's got a monthly view and then a weekly view. It looks like you can buy it at other stores too so check out the website above. For some of us it's a great excuse to go to the Container Store!

Another great product there are the luggage tags ($9.99). They have quite a few different kinds of luggage tags but my favorites are the set of 6 brightly colored ones. Last year I bought these and put one in each Christmas stocking for all the adults and they were a huge hit. They have funny phrases on them like "nothing worth stealing in here".

RoboForm

If you're a fan of this site you probably find yourself filling in a TON of online forms. I downloaded RoboForm (for free!) a while back and not it does the work for me! It auto fills all of your information. This saves a lot of time and typing. Do you have another great program that you use? If so, let me know and I'll pass on the information!

Etsy

Another cool website--Etsy! This is one of those sites you could get lost in for hours. There's a ton to see but I'll get you started with two of my favorites: Nissalisa's Monster Wear and Flaky Friends. According to Etsy.com, Etsy is "an online marketplace where you can buy and sell items that are handmade, as well as vintage goods and crafting supplies." (I couldn't have said it better myself.)

There are a few not so family friendly items for sale on Etsy that you might happen upon. So don't say I didn't warn you. There's tons of other cute stuff too!

Your Picture on M&M's!

How cute is this?! Ok, you've probably heard about how you can order personalized M&M's with your name, wedding date, birthday, etc. on them. But now did you know you can also get a picture put on them? That would be adorable for a child's birthday party.

Daily Deals

If you haven't checked out Woot! or MidnightBox.com, today is your day. I check both of these websites first thing every morning (or midnight, if I'm up that late!). I've recently discovered MidnightBox and haven't ordered anything from them yet but I've been a Woot-er for years now and have ordered lots of things from them. They post a deal on a usually discontinued or refurbished item every night at midnight and you have all day or until they sell out to buy it. Shipping is $5 on every order.

Their product descriptions are hilarious. My husband and I e-mail each other quite often to say, "You have to read the Woot! today!". Anyway, I've bought a Cuisinart ice cream maker, Nike iPod armbands (one cent each!), cordless phones for the whole house, an HP printer...all sorts of great stuff.

There are lots of other great things about Woot! but I'll let you discover them for yourself on the website. I could go on forever. Let me know if you score any great deals!

Off, Off and Away!

Remember that plane trip with a toddler I told you about last week? Well, we're heading out soon so I won't be able to reply to e-mails for a while. I'll still be posting so don't leave me! I'll be back soon, hopefully well rested and tan.

...but possibly exhausted and needing a vacation. :)

Braum's Milk

Thanks to my friend Katie for telling me about Braum's milk a few months ago! Did you know that Braum's milk is hormone free? And it's not expensive, either. I buy a gallon once a week for my toddler and it's around $3.50.

Here's what the Braum's website says about their milk:

"We have always believed that the natural way is the best way. At Braum’s, we know that we can produce the best quality milk by feeding our cows natural, healthy ingredients. We do not inject our cows with hormones like rBGH to stimulate milk production and we don't add antibiotics to their feed.

We feed our dairy herd of 10,000 Holstein cows a mixture of alfalfa hay, corn, grain, whole cottonseed, soybean and more(the majority of the feed for our dairy herd is grown on our family farms.) This provides the cow with a well-balanced diet which is very important because what a cow eats directly affects the type of milk she produces.

So the next time you drink a glass of Braum's milk rest easy...it's 100 percent natural, tastes great and is rBGH FREE!"
